We started making candles over 10 years ago as a hobby and then decided to do some craft shows where our candles were well received and praised. After changing jobs, we had to forgo craft shows due to work hours and the candle making took a back seat to life. In the last couple of years, we've rediscovered the joy of making candles and the joy they bring to people and decided maybe it's time to do something different than the craft shows. During this time we also moved from Crystal Valley to Pentwater into a renovated one room school house that was built in 1886. The house is quirky as all old houses are and we decided to rename the candle business from CV Custom Candles to Skoolhouse Kustom Kandles after the house they're hand poured in. Some of them are as quirky as the house and we try to have fun with some different and unique containers.
